Boys Lacrosse May 16 Penn Yan 6, Clarence 0 The Mustangs shut out Clarence, a Class B team from Erie Country, in a crossover matchup that saw PYA improve to 7-7. Penn Yan scored five unanswered goals before halftime. While the third quarter saw no score from either team, the Mustangs tacked on another one in the fourth and never let a single Clarence ball find the net. Caden Dixon scored two goals for PYA; Carter Earl and Teagan Fingar each had a goal and two assists; Tukker Fisher and Frank Ochoa each had one goal and one assist.
Softball May 8 Honeoye 23, Naples 1 In a season with a couple big wins and several big losses, Naples took their largest loss of the Spring with a 22-run deficit against Honeoye. The loss put Naples at 4-6.
Baseball May 2 Bloomfield 12, Naples 2 Bloomfield beat Naples by 10, handing the Big Green Machines their fourth loss in a row after Naples had started the season with a six-win streak. Naples was able to get a run in the first and second innings, but those were the only times they were able to cross the plate in the game. Traugott Uhlen led the Green at the plate, going 2-3, while Cade Rathburn also got a hit.

Harley-Allendale-Columbia 8, Naples 3 HAC handed Naples their first loss of the season, dropping the Big Green Machines to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Finger Lakes. HAC led the game off with three unanswered runs in both the first and second innings.
Penn Yan 15, Mynderse 2 The Mustangs put on a dominant performance despite a cold, wet day as Penn Yan Academy beat Mynderse Academy by 13. Mynderse was unable to put a single point up in the first three quarters of the game, while PYA had four goals in the first, four in the second and five in the third. The fourth quarter saw both teams score two, but by that time it was already Penn Yan’s day. Teagan Fingar led PYA with six goals and an assist. Also for Penn Yan, Caden Dixon and Frank Ochoa each got a pair of goals, Carter Earl had a goal and three assists, Braden Fingar had a goal and two assists and Tukker Fisher had a goal and one assist. The Devils’ goals were scored by Mason Buckley and Dylan Tandle, with Lucas Stevers picking up an assist. Will Thompson saved five and allowed one goal for the Mustangs, before Aiden Griffiths came in for the last five minutes with one save and one allowed. For Mynderse, Logan Pettingil made 11 saves. Penn Yan was 3-3 overall with the win and 3-0 in the Finger Lakes.
Penn Yan 12, Waterloo 4 Naples 15, Dundee/Bradford 8 The Mustangs won their season-opener against Waterloo, tripling the Tigers’ score in a dominant display. Brady Emerson was the winning pitcher for PYA, getting six strikeouts in four innings. Emerson allowed three runs before being relieved by Derek Allison, who got one strikeout and allowed one run. At the plate, PYA’s Liam Chapman went 1-2, was walked twice and scored three runs; Brady Bouchard went 2-3, also being walked twice and scoring three runs; Reed Bouchard hit a double for two RBI; Derek Allison hit a triple for three RBI and Mike Layton went 2-4 with two RBI.
Girls Lacrosse Apr. 3 Penn Yan 14, Ithaca 9 The Penn Yan girls travelled to Ithaca to pick up their second win of the season.
